When you call I arrange a visit to your home to:

  • first meet and greet is free 
  • meet you and your pet.
  • get detailed information on your pet's care and special needs
  • discuss the normal routine in your pet's day
  • discuss any health issues or medication regimens
  • obtain the name of your pet's veterinarian
  • get instructions in case of an emergency
  • get a number where you can be reached
  • get a list of people with access to your home while you're away
  • pick up a key to your home

During this visit, you decide how often you would like your pet visited and which services you would like performed. For cats I require a at least one visit a day if you are on vacation or away from the house for a extended period. Dogs I require a minimum of two visits a day if you are on vacation or away from your home for a extended period. 

Services Offered:

  • Mid-day dog walking - excellent for puppies and geriatric pets or dogs of any age
  • Playtime for your pet - excellent for dogs or cats of any age especially active pets
  • Several visits per day while you're on vacation (up to 3 times a day)
  • Litter box scooped daily if needed
  • Administration of medications, if needed
  • Customary routine and diet
  • Medical attention in the event of illness
  • Collecting mail, newspapers, lights on/off and plant watering 
  • Feeding & fresh water


To arrange for your pet care, whether you're going away or just looking for daily dog walking or play time, it is best to make reservations at least 2 weeks or more in advance. During the summer months and holiday season it's very busy, so it's advisable to make your reservations as soon as you know what your plans are! In case of last minute situations I will fit your pet in as close to the time requested. 

Cancellation & deposit & policies – 

  • Everyday clients must give a 24hr or more cancellation notice for credit towards following week. Payment due at the start of service by check, cash or venmo only.
  • Vacation clients I require a 25% non refundable deposit when booking pet sitting, the balance due upon start of service. If you must cancel I will only credit your deposit towards your next pet sitting booking if given 2 weeks prior notice. You must use this credit within a year.
  • Tail Wagging Pet Sitting will not be held responsible for your pets care if you are sharing the care with others whom access to the home. I can not control how others may or may not take care of your pets.
